Description (Service)
  • Assists seniors to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing meals at a reasonable cost 
  • Provides a choice of hot or frozen meals which generally consist of soup or salad, entrĂ©e, dairy product and dessert 
  • Special diet meals may be available dependent on the meal supplier 
  • Meals are delivered by volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client

Eligibility Seniors aged 60 yrs and over with health care needs and/or individuals with health care needs or physical disabilities
  • Call the Meals On Wheels Team Leader or Assistant for delivery information and to register 
  • Meal costs are billed monthly 
  • Must be able to feed themselves, manage on weekends and be home to receive meal or identify neighbor who will accept it on their behalf 
  • Cancellations must be received before 9:15 am the day of delivery to avoid charges
