Description (Service) Represents the community in all lands and resources initiatives  
  • Liaises with all companies interested in resource development in traditional Red Rock Indian Band territory including mining developments, forestry projects and fisheries projects  
  • Participates in negotiations and agreements with possible resource developers to ensure Red Rock Indian Band is fairly included in benefits  
  • Consults with target groups who have an interest in land and resource issues such as fishing, trapping and hunting  
  • Develops and implements a consultation protocol for negotiations related to Lands and Resource issues  
  • Advises community members on Lands and Resources issues via meetings, website or correspondence 
  • Assists in the development of the Community Capital Plan  
  • Works with other Band departments for allocation of land to Red Rock Indian Band registered members who wish to build on territorial land
