Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides support services to improve the health and wellbeing of urban Indigenous elderly women and families and those with chronic illness or disabilities 
  • Focus is on assisting individuals to achieve a good quality of life, reflective of needs and culture 
  • Offers education and hands-on support services to assist with daily living activities 
  • Acts as respite for loved ones who provide daily care and support
Services include: 
  • Advocacy and navigation with community services 
  • Assisted living services including homemaking, cleaning, shopping, laundry, washing, preparation of meals, personal hygiene and care 
  • Case management 
  • Family workshops 
  • Individual community cultural care 
  • Respite care 
  • Transportation for appointments and cultural events
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm
Areas Served Thunder Bay
Eligibility Urban Indigenous seniors and Indigenous persons with chronic illness or disabilities, with a particular focus on Indigenous women
