Description (Service)
  • Operates a community-based food purchasing system that makes fresh fruits and vegetables available to community members (contents vary by season) for reasonable price  
  • Offers a variety of fruit and vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries and apples 
  • Provides boxes of two sizes, one for a family and another for singles
Good Food Box pick-up location is at the Government Office
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm

Application Requirements for Food Box include:  
  • Registration order required anytime before second Thu of month  
  • Payment due by second Thu of each month; can be made at Government Office with Ontario Works (receipts provided)  
  • Delivery is usually two weeks after payment date
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibway, available upon request
Fees Program - Single box $15, Family box $25
