  • Functions as an emergency text messaging service for members of the deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or speech impaired (DHHSI) community 
  • Allows individuals who are in an emergency situation to converse with a 9-1-1 operator using text messaging

    Areas Served Conmee ; Fort William First Nation ; Gillies Township ; Gorham Township ; Lybster Township ; Neebing Township ; O'Connor ; Oliver Paipoonge Township ; Shuniah ; Thunder Bay ; Strange Township; Ware Township; Marks Township; Jacques Township; Fowler Township
    • Individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or speech impaired 
    • Must have an active wireless subscription and a 3G, 4G, or GSM supported cell phone
        NOTE: Service is not yet available for the general public
    • Individuals must register with their telephone service provider
