Description (Service) Provides employment related support and training initiatives for community members 

Offers the following services: 
  • Assessments of skills and experience  
  • Information about a variety of careers and occupations  
  • Local labour market, employment and training opportunities  
  • Information and referrals to other community support and services  
  • Assistance in developing effective job search strategies and resume preparation 
  • Advice for preparing for interviews and employment
Assists in accessing the following programs: 
  • Alter-Abled 
  • Direct Course Purchase 
  • Employment Assistance Support Measures 
  • Job Creation Partnership 
  • Local Labour Market Partnerships 
  • Mobility Assistance 
  • Self-Employment Assistance 
  • Summer Career Placement 
  • Targeted Wages Subsidy Program

Eligibility Members of Batchewana First Nation who are unemployed or underemployed and: 
  • Must be unemployed or underemployed 
  • Are on an active Employment Insurance (EI) claim, have been on an EI claim within the last 3 years or have been on an EI Maternity or Parental claim within the last 5 years or 
  • on Social Assistance or have no income
