Description (Service) Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation 
  • Offers a Northern Store, a few small private stores, a coffee shop, a restaurant, gas stations and private businesses 
  • Serviced in primary health care at the Weeneebayko General Hospital 
  • Provides land ambulance services Mon-Sun 24-hour service  
  • Offers Canada Post postal services 
  • Produces the Paytahchemowin Newsletter  
  • Participates in the Junior Canadian Rangers Program for youth (12-18 years) which teaches various skills including but not limited to first aid, using rifles safely, hunting and fishing, Native customs and traditions, healthy living, staying in school and drug and alcohol abuse awareness 
  • Offers the Thomas Cheechoo Jr Memorial Complex arena which also serves as the summer site for the annual Gathering of Our People celebration and many weddings 
  • Owns and operates Washow Ecolodge and Kesagami Lake Fishing Lodge
