Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides financial support to registered First Nations students in public post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree-granting institutions 
  • Provides financial assistance for full-time post-secondary students that covers tuition, registration, mandatory student fees, books and supplies, monthly living allowance and travel support 
  • Provides financial assistance to part-time students to cover cost of tuition, books and supplies
Hours Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-4 pm
Areas Served Thunder Bay ; Treaty #3
  • Applicants must be registered as a Treaty/Status Indian 
  • First Nations individuals from Kiashke Zaaging Anishinabek (Gull Bay), Red Rock Indian Band, Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation, Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinabek (Sand Point), Obashkaandagaang (Washagamis Bay) 
  • Bill C-31 ONLY for Islington, Northwest Angles 33 & 37
Application Application deadline dates: Spring/Summer - April 1st; Fall/Winter - June 1st 

For financial assistance applicant is required to provide: 
  • Photocopy of recent status card (both front and back)  
  • Completed application form for educational assistance  
  • An official acceptance/offer of admission to a public post secondary institute 
  • Transcripts from high school and any previous academic institutions  
  • Proof of dependents (photocopy of birth certificates)
