Thunder Bay Métis Council is located in MNO Region 2
Description (Service) Manages subsidized and rent-geared-to-income houses/apartments for the Métis Nation of Ontario in outlying areas of Thunder Bay
Responsible for:
  • Income verification including providing information about rent payments, rent arrears etc
  • Maintenance including all repair requests for rental units
  • Property management questions about housing applications and handling complaints
Greenstone area includes four portfolios:
  • Chateaulac (seniors housing)
  • Geraldton Municipal Housing (low-income family and singles in the Greenstone area)
  • Geraldton Native Housing (First Nation, Métis and Inuit families)
  • Kenogamisis Housing (low-income singles with developmental and physical disabilities)
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Beardmore ; Caramat ; Geraldton ; Jellicoe ; Longlac ; MacDiarmid ; Nakina
  • Call office to determine eligibility as it varies with housing programs
  • Applicants must meet an income threshold as well
