Description (Service)
  • Provides a 24-hour crisis response telephone service  
  • Provides an 8 hour mobile resource team
 
Provides the following services: 
  • Crisis assessment and intervention 
  • Support to family members and friends 
  • Referrals to other community agencies 
  • Follow-up 
  • Wellness planning 
  • Public education
Hours Crisis Line: Mon-Sun 24 hours 
Mobile Response Team: Mon-Thu 11 am-7 pm (within the city of Thunder Bay only) 
Joint Mobile Crisis Response Team: Mon-Sun 2 pm-2 am
Areas Served Kenora District ; Rainy River District ; Thunder Bay District ; Mobile unit can be dispatched to a caller's location anywhere in the city of Thunder Bay
Eligibility
  • All ages 
  • Individuals under acute psychological distress from any number of life crises, trauma, psychosocial and/or mental illness, postpartum depression, violence, or dementia 
  • Family, friends, parents, caregivers or service providers who are concerned about an individual 
  • Mobile units only available in city of Thunder Bay

Languages English ; Interpretive Services ; Individuals can request a female interpreter
