Public Comments Text with 9-1-1 service available in Kenora, Aubry Twp, Bridges Twp, Britton Twp, Brownridge Twp, Dalles 38C Indian Reserve, Docker Twp, Eagle Lake First Nation, Eton Twp, Haycock, Ignace Twp, Kirkup Twp, Machin, Melgund Twp, Mutrie Twp, Rat Portage First Nation, Redvers Twp, Rugby Twp, Sioux Lookout, Smellie Twp, Southworth Twp, Van Horne Twp, Wabigoon Twp, and Zealand Twp, to enable the deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or speech impaired (DHHSI) community to converse with 9-1-1 call centres using text messaging. You must register for T9-1-1 with your wireless service provider, and you must have a compatible cell phone. T9-1-1 should only be used for emergency situations that require a response from police, fire or emergency medical services
