  • Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing consists of: the most populated reserve Saug-A-Gaw-Sing 1 (under 1 square mi in size), Big Island 31D, Big Island 31E, Big Island 31F, Big Island Mainland 93, Lake of the Woods 31B, Lake of the Woods 31C, Lake of the Woods 31G, Lake of the Woods 31H, Naongashing 31A, Shoal Lake 31J and Agency 30 (shared with several other First Nations)

Description (Agency) Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Anishnaabeg of Naongashiing

  • Conducts business affairs in nearby towns of Morson and Rainy River 
  • Offers employment for community members in trapping, fishing and forestry industries; seasonal employment available in summer resorts near community 
  • Owns and operates the largest commercial fishing license quota in Treaty #3 
  • Receives several radio stations, high-speed Internet and several newspapers
