Description (Service)	Works to meet the educational needs of First Nations people by providing community-based and student-centred learning opportunities Provides the following programs: Elementary and Secondary Support Program (ESSP) Focuses on improving the success rate of First Nation students in the education system Offers guidance and direction to children, parents/guardians and elders Coordinates student and parent school visits and orientations Assists with course selections and career choices Provides advocacy and works to raise awareness of bias, racism and gang violence through participation on school council committees, Native Awareness projects, First Nations liaison committees, Ontario Teacher Federation and other community groups Secondary and Vocational Education Operates a Seven Generations Secondary School based on independent studies for individuals to earn a high school diploma Offers Ontario credited courses from grades 9 to12 with Technology and Physical Education courses Provides day and evening classes Offers satellite locations in various First Nation communities Ojibwemowin Waawiye Language Program Provides teaching tools for learning the Ojibwe language Also offers: Post Secondary Student Support Services office in Thunder Bay Post Secondary Programs in Kenora and Fort Frances Apprenticeship Programs office in Kenora
