Description (Service) Kenora Fire and Emergency Services is a composite fire department serving the City of Kenora 
  • Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code 
  • Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
Provides the following services: 
  • Auto extrication 
  • Education 
  • Emergency planning 
  • Fire inspection and investigation 
  • Fire prevention and life safety education 
  • Fire suppression 
  • Hazardous materials information 
  • Home safety 
  • School tours 
  • Water and ice rescue
Consists of the following 3 fire stations:
Kenora Fire Station 1 (District 1)
Staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year
Fire Station 2 (District 2)
Staffed by volunteer firefighters on an on call basis
Fire Station 3
Staffed by volunteer firefighters on an on call basis; located on Highway 17 East, approximately 8 km from the centre of the City of Kenora
Hours Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
