Description (Service) Delivers child care and protection services, and family support services to community members 
  • Acts as a family and children's services liaison between Temagami First Nation and the Children's Aid Societies from any location 
  • Offers family and child support with home visiting, office visits and court attendance with child welfare issues within the district
Foster Care 
Provides the following services to families in the system: 
  • Advocacy 
  • Case management 
  • Access services 
  • Community resources 
  • Referrals to other agencies and programs 
  • Remains in contact with the family until services are accessed or until needed services are accessed and family can advocate for themselves 
  • Provides assistance in the recruitment of new foster families within the community 
  • Endeavours to keep children within their home communities
Prevention Services 
  • Provides programs and services to children and youth to enhance their well being, including life skills mentoring, recreational activities, social activities and healthy lifestyles workshops 
  • Provides educational programs and resources to parents and families to strengthen family units
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
