  • Supports child residents during the transitional period while in the shelter 
  • Facilitates an early intervention program for children exposed to woman abuse called Changing Patterns, with a Native perspective on that program called Gii Waamdaab Nii gii gid (I saw...I shall speak) which is facilitated by partner Nipissing First Nation Native Child Welfare Department 
  • Advocates on the children's behalf while assisting the mothers with custody/access issues and referrals to agencies 
  • Provides childcare for mothers attending necessary appointments
