Description (Service) Works to meet the educational needs of people by providing community-based and student-centred learning opportunities
Provides the following programs:
Secondary Support Program (SSP) 
  • Focuses on improving the success rate of First Nation high school students in the education system 
  • Offers guidance and direction to students, parents/guardians and elders 
  • Coordinates student and parent school visits and orientations 
  • Assists with course selections and career choices 
  • Provides advocacy and works to raise awareness of bias, racism and gang violence through participation on school council committees, Native Awareness projects, First Nations liaison committees, Ontario Teacher Federation and other community groups
Post Secondary Education 
  • Provides accredited programming at the post-secondary level 
  • Incorporates Anishinaabe teachings into daily programs 
  • Partners with colleges and universities for delivery of targeted programs on a part-time or full-time basis; colleges include Canadore, Sault and Cambrian, universities include Lakehead, Laurentian and Queen's
Manidoo Baawaatig Event Centre 
  • Offers conference facilities for small and large groups up to 300 people 
  • Includes Smart Boards, a projector screen, LCD projectors, flip charts and a full-time chef for catering needs
Hours Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-4 pm
