Education Authority/Council consists of 8 members: 5 members from Naotkamegwanning, 1 member from Northwest Angle #37, 1 member from Northwest Angle #33 and 1 Council Representative; they meet once a month to discuss school spending, educational programs and school discipline
Description (Service)
  • Provides educational services and supports to elementary and high school students living on reserve in partnership with Northwest Angle #33 and #37 
  • Promotes the combination of traditional cultural values and programs with contemporary academic requirements 
  • Receives support and assistance from Bimose Tribal Council, Education Authority in developing and delivering the education program and system in the community  
  • Administers the Baibombeh Anishinabe School 
  • Provides bus transportation to students attending the Baibombeh Anishinabe School
Post Secondary Student Program  
  • Provides counselling and guidance in choosing post-secondary field of studies  
  • Provides assistance for applying/filling out application forms for colleges and universities  
  • Provides financial support to post secondary students both on and off the reserve

  • Deadline to apply for assistance for fall start date is June 1st; January start date is Oct 15th
