Description (Service) Aboriginal Health and Wellness Programs 
  • Provides programs and services to address family violence and strategies to stop it 
  • Offers programs to promote healthy individuals, families and communities
Aboriginal Health Planning Authority (AHPA) 
  • Operates as the authority responsible for planning related to community, regional, secondary and tertiary health services needed to implement the Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy AHWS 
  • Coordinates and implements training requirements for Community Wellness workers
Coordinates the following programs: 
  • Aboriginal Healthy Babies Healthy Children (AHB/HC) 
  • Community Development Support Worker Program (CDSW) 
  • Community Wellness Worker Program (CWW)
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation ; Lac Seul First Nation ; Migisi Sahgaigan First Nation - Eagle Lake First Nation ; Wabauskang First Nation ; Wabigoon Lake First Nation - Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation
Eligibility First Nation individuals living in the communities within the Dryden Tribal Area
Application Services are accessed at a local level in individual communities
