Description (Service) Provides affordable accommodation and support for Anishinaabe individuals and families accessing the Lake of the Woods District Hospital
Provides the following services: 
  • Assistance with reserving accommodations 
  • Client advocacy 
  • Emotional support 
  • Language interpretation
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm 
Service Mon-Sun 24 hours
Areas Served Dalles First Nation ; Grassy Narrows First Nation ; Keewatin ; Kenora ; Northwest Angle 33 First Nation ; Northwest Angle 37 First Nation ; Shoal Lake 39 First Nation ; Shoal Lake 40 First Nation ; Sioux Lookout ; Washagamis Bay First Nation ; Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation ; Whitedog First Nation ; Whitefish Bay First Nation ; Wesawkwete First Nation (Zone 1 in Wabigoon)
Eligibility Anishinaabe individuals and family members accessing the Lake of the Woods District Hospital for medical reasons including those who are accessing hospital services on an outpatient basis, have recently been discharged or are family members of an inpatient who is seriously ill or receiving palliative care
