  • Participant (with 3 other Ont First Nation communities) in the One Laptop Per Child Program, a government program that supplies a personal laptop computer for every student from Grades 1-8; computers are built rugged with low power consumption and low memory requirements for remote northern communities-funded by Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs, Bank of Montreal and mining company Vale
Description (Service)
  • Operates a private on-reserve school for elementary and junior secondary students 
  • Offers a full curriculum for students from JK to Grade 9 
  • Teaches Ojibway Native language as a subject course 
  • Offers computer labs, construction technology and an outdoor education program 
  • Offers cultural education to learn traditional skills and teachings of the local area 
  • Offers Independent Learning Courses (ILC) for senior students 
  • Provides supervised extra-curricular activities 
  • Offers group and individual counselling to help students succeed in school

  • Arena Program 
  • Nutrition Program
