  • Offers employment counselling 
  • Provides support, information and publications on career planning 
  • Maintains local labour market information and trends for the area 
  • Facilitates community presentations and workshops related to employment 
  • Assists with the development of work action plans 
  • Teaches job search techniques and strategies 
  • Offers computer lab areas, access to a photocopier, facsimile and telephones for job search activities 
  • Accommodates individuals with disabilities who have been accepted into training programs
Financial Assistance
Individuals enrolled in programming may be eligible for: 
  • Training wages while receiving on-the-job training 
  • Training allowance while attending training 
  • Supplementary allowance for child care, commuting or accommodations and related expenses if living away from home during training
Projects may be eligible for financial assistance to off-set costs related to: 
  • Hiring of training instructors 
  • Purchase of training supplies and materials 
  • Overhead costs to cover actual expenses 
  • Costs for purchase or lease of training equipment 
  • Special costs to accommodate persons with disabilities
Self Employment Program 
  • Provides financial support for people who are on, or who have been on Employment Insurance and are starting own business 
  • Provides coaching tailored to needs and may include subjects such as business plan development, accounting, marketing 
  • Provides ongoing technical advice and the use of computers
Training Programs offered are: 
  • Occupational Skills development acquired through classroom training or on the job experience combined with classroom training 
  • Job Readiness Training 
  • Academic Upgrading 
  • Staff Development 
  • Employment Maintenance skills

Boundaries Also serves all Treaty #3 members living outside Treaty #3 territory in Canada
