Public Comments Support Group Meetings for Acquired Brain Injury Survivors: 
Extendicare Group for those living at Extendicare: Thursday 10:30 am-11:30 am 
 
Men's Support Groups: 
Timmins & District Hospital: Mon 10:30 am-11:30 am in the Lecture Theatre 
Golden Manor: Mon 1:15 pm-2:45 pm
Description (Agency) Provides information and referrals as well as education and life skills through Day Programming

  • Provides information and referrals 
  • Offers related education and like skills
 
New Beginnings and Social Programming 
  • Provides daily activities such as cooking, crafts, games, and walks
 
Peer Mentoring 
  • Connects individual whose life experience helps another person currently coping with a similar event or issue and is in need of support  
  • Aids people with a variety of medical conditions and physical disabilities, and to help their family members and non-professional care givers
 
Support Group for Acquired Brain Injury Survivors 
  • Discusses a variety of topics in group setting
 
Topic can include: 
  • Depression 
  • Fatigue 
  • Relationships 
  • Other areas of interest identified by group
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm 
New Beginnings Social Programming: Mon-Fri; times vary dependent upon activity; call for activities and times
Areas Served Cochrane District ; New Beginnings: Timmins only
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
Individuals that are suffering from epilepsy (seizures) and/or brain injury
Application Self referrals accepted, and intake performed
Languages English ; French
