Description (Agency) Maison McCulloch Hospice is a centre of excellence dedicated to the collaborative delivery of quality hospice palliative care in both official languages in the Sudbury District. The Hospice helps individuals and their families realize their full potential to live even when they are dying, by attending to their physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and practical needs, in the location of their choice.
Description (Service)
  • Operates a residential hospice with 10 private bedrooms and shared common areas
  • Provides 24-hour nursing and personal support care
  • Offers compassionate bedside support, including social and emotional support, to individuals (regardless of their age, disease or religion) at home, in hospital, in long-term care facilities or in a residential hospice

Offers Grief and Bereavement Support groups to residents, families, staff and volunteers:
  • Open Grief Discussion Groups on a monthly basis
  • Closed Grief Recovery Programs - 8 week program offered twice a year
  • Individual Grief Coaching
Hours Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm 
Residential Hospice Mon-Sun 24 hours
Areas Served Sudbury District
Eligibility Residential Hospice: Individuals diagnosed with a terminal illness with a prognosis of 3 months or less 
Shared Care Program and Visiting Hospice Service: Individuals diagnosed with a terminal illness with a prognosis of 12 months or less
