Description (Service) Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all social, recreational and special events for members of the community 
Provides various rotating programs including the following: 
Boys and Girls Club 
Provides various activities such as arts and crafts, movie nights and outdoor sports events for separate groups of boys and groups of girls 
Summer Teams 
Organizes and supervises various outdoor activities for youth during summer months such as baseball, football, soccer, dodgeball and ultimate frisbee 
Urban Poling Walking Group 
  • Provides a group walking activity using specially designed poles to maximize body workout 
  • Provides the equipment and teaches proper poling techniques
X-Box Movement 
Provides physical activity through video games using the x-box game console and partner accessory Kinect 
Also oversees: 
Community Garden 
  • Provides a garden that community members plant, tend and harvest together for a fresh food supply 
  • Teaches about composting supplies and techniques; provides 5 composting bins at garden site 
  • Growing season runs from May to September; dependent upon weather  
  • All gardens coordinated through volunteer efforts and always looking for available volunteers
Hours Summer Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4 pm  
Winter Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm
