Description (Service)	Offers alternative to prosecution through community-based sanctions; if successful, the person does not have to return to court and does not have a criminal conviction registered Provides the following programs or sanctions: Anger/Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program Community service hours Donation to an agency or organization Restitution to the victim Connects clients to local supports to address needs

Eligibility	Ages: 18 year(s) and up Individuals who have been charged with minor criminal offences Must be willing to accept responsibility for the actions that led to the charge Must be willing to make amends for their offence through an assigned task or "sanction" Must complete an agreement, which outlines the terms of sanctions to be met Sanction must be completed within a 90-day window
Application	If notified by the Crown Attorney at the first court appearance that they are qualified to apply to the program, must meet with the JHS Direct Accountability Coordinator to determine eligibility Individuals can also ask their Counsel or Duty Counsel about their eligibility
