Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides services and support to individuals who are involved with the judicial system and would benefit from community or hospital based mental health services as an alternative to incarceration
Court support services are offered based on client need and can include: 
  • Accessing and retaining legal representation  
  • Case management services 
  • Counselling  
  • Information and referrals for community support services, housing, psychiatric and income supports  
  • Recommendations to the court at time of sentencing on behalf of individual 
  • Mental Health Court 
  • Limited services available at the Algoma Treatment & Remand Centre
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility Ages: 12 year(s) and up 
Adults diagnosed with mental health issues and who are involved with the criminal justice system
  • A referral form is to be completed 
  • Referrals can be made by anyone
